Thanh “Tommy” Hodinh – B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, 1976 – College of Engineering

Hodinh left his native Vietnam in 1972 and enrolled at UTEP as an engineering student in 1973. Today, he is founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Austin-based MagRabbit Inc., a million global supply chain management, workforce solutions and software development firm recognized as one of the top 500 Asian-owned companies in the United States.   Hodinh credits the lessons he learned on the journey toward his UTEP degree with propelling him to the heights of professional success: “It’s not a secret,” he said. “Just work very hard and be lucky – the harder you work, the luckier you are – be willing to keep learning and changing, maintain strong customer and employee relationships, and don’t give up.”
